Description
I wrote “Love Goes” during the fires in LA. It was a devastating time. People were losing their homes, the air was thick with smoke, and a lot of folks were getting sick or just worn down. Everything felt fragile. But at the same time, I kept noticing how people came together. Friends checking in constantly. Neighbors helping neighbors. People showing up for others who had lost everything. That’s what stayed with me.
That’s where the song came from. Not from trying to be positive or make sense of everything, but from noticing how love moves when things fall apart. It’s shared. It’s riding through the city with your people, music on, top down, feeling held for a moment. Saying “I can’t do this alone” and meaning it. When love is around, you feel at home. Even in the middle of it all. -Ruby Mountain
